Megan Baker grew up in North Carolina as the middle child of a blue collar, rural family. Focusing on biology and neuroscience in undergrad, Megan attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Following graduation, she worked in a hospital lab until she was bit by the travel bug. Moving to Madrid, Spain, she developed a passion for education while teaching at a local high school. She relocated to Nashville and completed her masters in education while simultaneously teaching secondary sciences in charter and public school systems. Since then, she has traveled extensively to over 20 countries where she has been enveloped by the cultures and built connections with communities around the globe. Megan packed these experiences into her carry on and has continued to embrace these lessons into her own mindset and classroom.
